Culture, Diversity & Public Engagement - Building Common Ground with Diverse Stakeholders

Course Outline

This ½ day workshop (which can be expanded to a 1
day workshop) explores the importance of culture
and diversity in public engagement. This workshop
focuses on the importance of using a cultural lens in
engagement, with emphasis on the impacts and
influences of beliefs, values, worldviews, attitudes
and perceptions and the impact that these have on
group processes. This session explores the
importance of being culturally self-aware of the
presence and content of your own cultural baggage
and worldview and how it might play a role in the
engagement processes that you plan and facilitate.
