How Successful Nonprofits Develop Their Future Leaders

On every CEO’s “worry list” is whether he or she has the leaders the organization needs to thrive in the future. Will current managers be ready to step up? If not, then what? A major factor limiting the sustainability and growth of successful nonprofits is the shortage of qualified leaders—to run new programs, open new sites, and build effective support functions. The challenge organizations face is how to increase the overall pool of leaders who have the right capabilities needed for future success.

In this webinar, Bridgespan will share key findings in Plan A: How Successful Nonprofits Develop Their Future Leaders, a new Bridgespan guide that provides a step-by-step approach to creating and executing a leadership development program at nonprofits of any size and budget. Presenters will identify essential steps to develop and increase your organization’s talent and build a best practice. Prior to the webinar, you are encouraged to take a 10-15-minute short diagnostic to assess your organization’s strengths and weaknesses in developing future leaders. You will have an opportunity to reflect on the results of your diagnostic and see how it compares to others.
