This is the heart of the Badlands. Starting at Beaumont, stretching past Leduc, Millet, Wetaskiwin, spanning as far south as Strathmore, and as far east as the Saskatchewan border, Central East Alberta contains some of most attractive and exciting sites in Canada – home to the Dinosaur Provincial Park, fossil country. Of course, Central East also boasts being the birthplace of one of Alberta’s most famous bands, Nickleback!
The communities in this part of the province are incredibly active, involved, and passionate about volunteerism and continuous learning. Through KnowledgeConnector, Volunteer Alberta staff will connect the organizational leaders in Central East Alberta with learning opportunities and to create an even stronger region.
